Shannon and Tia Ayers co-own Borndreamer, a family business founded in 1994 by their mother, Rebecca, an award-winning writer and producer.


Both girls were introduced to the company early on and have worked in every phase of production -- both on and off camera.


While Borndreamer has been acclaimed for its industrial work and original short programs, Tia and Shannon are taking Borndreamer to the next level as they develop independent feature films.

Shannon is our Executive Director. She manages the day-to-day operations, contracts and compliance issues as well as keeping us on track with our long-term goals. 


Besides her business savvy, Shannon is a singer, actress, and impressionist. 


Having studied at PlayHouse West Acting School and Repertory Theatre, Shannon is a regular member of the at “Top Story! Weekly!” sketch comedy troop, performing every weekend in Hollywood. She’s also an active member of the Screen Actor’s Guild.


Besides her experience at Borndreamer, Shannon has worked for some of the top production companies in Los Angeles.


Shannon has also studied with the Epicurean School of Culinary Arts and is co-founder of ProposalMagazine.com, a site designed to make proposals and weddings fun and affordable.

Tia has worked continually in Los Angeles and Chicago as a writer, actress, story editor and stand-up comic since graduating from San Diego State suma cum laude.


She has performed in sketch comedy troops and written and produced several short films which have been featured at films festivals and private special screenings by industry professionals.


In addition, Tia sold a short film script to the Showtime series’ Red Shoes Diary and another television Movie of the Week starring Melora Hardin (from The Office) which airs regularly on Lifetime.


Tia is a member of the Screen Actors’ Guild, the Writers Guild of America and the Writers’ Guild of Canada. She’s been through the writing program at Second City as well as The Groundlings and ImprovOlympics. 


Co-founder, editor, writer and web manager for ProposalMagazine.com, Tia is also on the executive staff of TheDailyBlank.com, Chicago’s top online satirical news outlet.

Rebecca began her writing career in the ’80’s working for the Warner Brothers’ TV show, Flo, starring Polly Holliday. 


Moving back to the Midwest for a few years to raise her children, Rebecca segued into the corporate world in charge of writing and producing videos for one of the nation’s top financial companies.


Then back in California in 1988, she partnered with actress/director, Joanna Kerns and wrote several scripts including for the ABC hit show, Growing Pains.


Because of her experience in both entertainment and the corporate world, Sheppard Associates, the world’s top internal communications firm in the ‘90‘s hired Rebecca as a VP on their creative team to write and develop videos and print.  Several of these videos received top awards from the International Business Communicator’s Association.


Founding her company in 1994, Rebecca continued to build a reputation as one of the top video writers producers for Fortune 500 companies, non-profit entities and government agencies.


Currently, Rebecca is semi-retired.  While still an active member of the Writers’ Guild of America and the Writer’s Guild of Canada, she also tends a garden and a vineyard off the Blue Ridge Parkway in SW Virginia.


She is married to Bob Ayers, actor, videographer, fishing guide and inventor.
