Rebecca began her writing career in the ’80’s working for the Warner Brothers’ TV show, Flo, starring Polly Holliday.
Moving back to the Midwest for a few years to raise her children, Rebecca segued into the corporate world in charge of writing and producing videos for one of the nation’s top financial companies.
Then back in California in 1988, she partnered with actress/director, Joanna Kerns and wrote several scripts including for the ABC hit show, Growing Pains.
Because of her experience in both entertainment and the corporate world, Sheppard Associates, the world’s top internal communications firm in the ‘90‘s hired Rebecca as a VP on their creative team to write and develop videos and print. Several of these videos received top awards from the International Business Communicator’s Association.
Founding her company in 1994, Rebecca continued to build a reputation as one of the top video writers producers for Fortune 500 companies, non-profit entities and government agencies.
Currently, Rebecca is semi-retired. While still an active member of the Writers’ Guild of America and the Writer’s Guild of Canada, she also tends a garden and a vineyard off the Blue Ridge Parkway in SW Virginia.
She is married to Bob Ayers, actor, videographer, fishing guide and inventor.
